In the Boarding House we do everything we can to make your children feel stimulated, secure and happy. Your child will experience a loving, family atmosphere and a feeling of belonging.
Your child can board with us from Year 1 or over. Children with parents who live abroad may require guardians in this country which can be easily organised.
Staffing and Accommodation
There are three Matrons and two full time assistants who are responsible for the welfare of the boarders, assisted by members of the academic staff who accompany boarders on outings. The boarding accommodation is attractively decorated, light, comfortable and cosy. There is a kitchen where boarders have hot chocolate each night, a large living room with TV and a separate play and creative room, for painting and playing games. There are separate dormitories for boys and girls, a sick bay and a small private chapel. Matron is always available to listen and to lend a helping hand.
Full, Weekly or Flexi-Boarding
Your child can be a full boarder, a weekly boarder or a flexi boarder. You are encouraged to try a sleep over with your best friends and this is a wonderful way to experience independence and fun in a familiar setting. The well-planned and varied weekend activities always include an excursion away from school accompanied by a member of staff and Gap student with plenty of outdoor activities in the spacious grounds. There is an extensive range of extra curricular activities for boarders ranging from Movie and Tuck night, to Computer club, painting, swimming (in the Summer Term) and table tennis.
