1.     Morning greeting to assess child’s emotional well-being 

2.     Make a feelings ‘meter’ or ‘ladder’ to help gain self-awareness 

3.     Circle Time  or Tutor Time or lesson time, if it is your strength, to allow the child to express how he/she is feeling 

4.     Peer massage relaxing re-enforcement from a friend and brain gym exercises 

5.     Seratonin moments, e.g. a 15 second funny video / DVD clip, to encourage happiness –Youtube  

6.     Time Out, e.g. Yoga , Outdoor classroom, walk in the grounds

7.     At the end of the day, ask the children to tell you three things that went well for them that day and write them down – cements the feeling, (include yourself in this too).
